Torfhaus TOH
51° 49‘ N / 10° 32‘ E
Altitude: 801 m a.s.l.
Tower height: 150 m
Measurements of CO2, CH4, N2O and CO are implemented at four heights (10 m, 76 m, 110 m, 147 m), each height being sequentially sampled for 5 minutes. Detection and measurement of concentrations for CO2 and CH4 is achieved using a Picarro G2301, which utilises Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CRDS). N2O and CO are measured using a Los Gatos LGR 30-EP analyser.
Furthermore, radon concentrations are also measured at the Torfhaus tower.
The following instrumentation is used to record the meteorological parameters at the four sampling heights and on an additional structure at a height of 2.5 m:
- Air temperature and humidity: Vaisala HMP155
- Wind direction and speed: Thies Ultrasonic Anemometer 2D UA2D
- Precipitation: Eigenbrodt RS85
- Air pressure: Vaisala PTB330
- Global radiation: Kipp & Zonen CMP11
These data are supplied on a continuous basis at a time resolution of 1 minute.
